Ping sent to all families, Monday 4th January 2021 after Boris Johnson's announcement:
Dear Families

I am sure that you have heard Boris Johnson’s announcement tonight about the closure of schools with immediate effect.

As you know we had planned to open for all pupils and this has left us in the difficult position that we now need to organise placements for critical workers.

I am very sorry to let you know that I need to close Georgian Gardens to all pupils Tuesday 5th January in order that appropriate plans can be put in place for the coming weeks.

If you believe you are a critical worker please ensure that you have completed the form which was sent out earlier today on Ping by 9am tomorrow morning. We will be in touch with people tomorrow to let you know
If you have been allocated a critical worker or vulnerable child space which will be available from Wednesday.

Tomorrow learning is available on our website under Learning - Home Learning during isolation or closure. You may also wish to access the materials on the Oak Academy Website. I have asked teachers to fully prepare for a move to teaching on Seesaw and Tapestry from Wednesday. This continues to
follow the curriculum that would have been delivered this half term in school.

If you are a frontline NHS critical worker and the immediate closure of school on Tuesday causes you to be unable to attend your workplace please email the office this evening and we will contact you between 7.30 and 8am Tuesday morning regarding emergency care provision.

We will continue to keep you updated.

Thank you for your understanding and support in this difficult situation.

Miss Bowers
