Georgian Gardens is proud to be out and about in our community!
Year 2 went to Rustington beach the week before half-term and cleaned it up! We borrowed litter pickers, plastic bags and gloves from Arun district council, and we picked up any plastic and litter that we saw at the beach, and on our journey to and from school. In our English lessons, we have been learning about plastic pollution and the damage that it could do over time. The children were fantastic ambassadors for Georgian Gardens and really enjoyed helping to clean up our local environment. Well done Year 2!

As part of our school partnership with ‘Friends of Angmering Station’ Year 5 children created some great pieces of art work to be displayed on the platform display boards.  The work of 16th century Italian artist Arcimboldo, who used the forms of fruit and vegetables to create    portraits,  was their inspiration.    Do go along to the station to see their work.

Now that the time of year is approaching when we are receiving more post please save all your used stamps (leaving a small border round them) and send them into our school office. We have been able to send off several packages of them to charity where they are gratefully received.    We can also recycle them as part of our art - some year 6 children have used some old Christmas stamps to create beautiful greetings cards; giving the stamps a second life!
