From September 2014, the government removed levels and replaced these with the following performance descriptors:-

-     Working TOWARDS the national standard

-     Working AT the national standard

-     Working at GREATER DEPTH within the national standard

The ‘national standard’ refers to the expected standard for children in the year group your child is in and is based on the new National Curriculum which is of a higher standard than before.
